Turkey: Istanbul & Cappadocia
Eight days across two of Turkey’s defining landscapes — imperial Istanbul and the valleys of Cappadocia.
Six days between the Caspian shore and the Caucasus — Baku old city, Gobustan, Gabala and Sheki.
Baku is a compact capital that rewards a few days rather than a stopover: a walled old city, a seafront boulevard, and enough contrast between the medieval and the modern to keep a camera busy.
The itinerary pairs the city with two excursions — Gobustan's rock art and mud volcanoes to the south, and the mountain road north-west to Gabala and Sheki, where the Khan's Palace still has its original stained-glass shebeke windows.
Airport transfer and check-in, with an evening walk along the Caspian boulevard.
Four-star hotels in central Baku within walking distance of the old city, and a comfortable mountain hotel in Gabala or Sheki for the overnight leg.
Air-conditioned vehicles throughout. The Baku–Sheki road is good but long; we break it with stops rather than driving it in one push.
Breakfast daily. Lunches and dinners are free choice — Baku eats well and inexpensively.
Visa requirements for Pakistani passport holders change from time to time. Our visa desk confirms the current process before you book flights.
Mountain roads to Sheki can be affected by snow between December and March; this itinerary runs April to October for that reason.
